Measuring behavior change

Your dashboard says green. Behavior says otherwise. What do you measure instead?

Most change dashboards measure activity. Training completion rates, town hall attendance, platform login counts. Activity isn't behaviour. It's what activity looks like before behaviour has changed. The move that matters is from KPIs (activity, outputs, attendance) to KBIs — Key Behaviour Indicators that capture whether the behaviour you said you wanted is actually happening at the moments it should. KBIs are uncomfortable because they're concrete: someone is doing it or they aren't. The pages here are about what KBIs look like, how to choose them so they're observable without surveillance, and how to measure behaviour change without falling back to vanity metrics.
