Social norms in organizational change
What is the group doing, and what does it approve of?
A requirement can be clear while the social norm points somewhere else. These pieces distinguish descriptive norms from injunctive norms, show ways to make them visible, and examine how group expectations affect behavior at work. The aim is to identify the norm in question before deciding how to respond.
