Training transfer
Your people completed the training. Their behavior didn't move. Why?
Training completed. Behaviour unchanged. The knowing-doing gap is so reliable that you can plan a year around it. Training transfers when the design accounts for what happens after the room empties — when the workflow back at the desk still allows the new behaviour, when peers don't penalise it, when the manager noticed and named it. Most training is built for the room. Behaviour design extends that thinking to the days and weeks that follow, using the BCT taxonomy to pick interventions that match the specific barrier in the way. The pages here are about that extension — designing training that actually transfers, knowing what you're trying to change, and knowing whether it changed.
