What should you consider when building an experience

What should you consider when building an experience?

What should you consider when building an experience?

Can we try and figure this out together? - I'm opening this Miro board up for comments (shall I make this as a google sheet as well to get more people to join in?) - link in comments

What components and building blocks should we use as a checklist?

So here is one way I have been looking at this - and by no means is it done, but it is a way for me to get the ideas out of my head and out in the open, so others can help shape this.

When I work with a team that is building something - lets say an app, or even a process at a company - how do we ensure we can understand our users and the experience thereafter we want to build for them?

We need to have some sort of checklist - that we can pass our experience through (now I'm getting excited as a write because I want to now build a workshop around this...)

So I havent yet categorized everything - but i'm getting there, and perhaps can finish this with your help, so we can all use it.

Look at this from your current experience - lets say we are auditing it/checking it/ improving it.

Do you have the information you need from segment of customers / employees?

-Do you know their competing ways of doing things? -Do you know if your experience can be completed in the environment they are in? -Do you know if they are intrinsically or extrinsically motivated? -Do they even understand the experience you made - as you intended it to be used?

If we aren't doing it, then we might just as well guess.

This does not need to be time-consuming - it can be a quick sense check to ensure we build the right experiences, so we can enable our customers or employees to succeed.

So whats missing? whats out of place?

Can we try and figure this out together?
