What process do you use when you have to solve business/behavior challenges quickly?

To be able to solve things quickly, de-risk assumptions, and get a clear direction on what to do next, teams need a solid process.

One of the frameworks I created and have used many times was called a Research Jam, and we would use it with teams, to co-create, get alignment and find insights to solve those really hard challenges that had not yet been solved by any other means.

Recently I created a variation of this but focused on understanding behavioral problems/opportunities. (why are people not doing the things we designed our process, product, or service for)

I have called it a Behavior Decision Jam, I took some inspiration on the name from Jonathan Courtney and his Lightning Decision Jam (though the activities are very different) the idea is similar, as in helping teams solve challenges with a structured process and in a compressed amount of time.

This workshop can be run remotely in 3 sessions (~1.5h each), with specific activities designed to keep the teams engaged and working at a fast pace - (sessions can always be extended in activities to go deeper, but at a bare minimum, this is what would be needed.)

In a week (we do offline work as well) the teams will have behavioral insights and momentum to get to the next phase to validate their ideas and get buy-in from management, budget, or whatever they may need.

The sessions

Session 1: Is about the goals and building a logic model to understand what the teams have tried before to solve the challenge.

Session 2: Is about understanding the behavior, partly done with the teams and then partly done offline (as we have to go back and really understand the behavior using an evidence-based model, as well as possibly doing some lit reviews.)

Session 3: Is about ideating and framing possible opportunities to move forward with and validate.

Do any of you work with anything like this? Would be curious to know.
