These 5 Books can help you design better products
Although designing features is getting easier and easier and most people seem to be using AI for many things, it is important to get your foundations right, so you are able to understand needs, understand drivers of behavior and even motivation.
If you are creating a product, you most likely will have to think about both the user journey the (actions people will do outside your product) and the user flow (the experience inside your product)
From my experience, you can't have one without the other and expect to have a great product and outcome.
1) The Behavior Change Wheel by Susan Michie and colleagues A Framework for Behavior Change
2) Engaged by Amy Bucher Behavior Design for Digital Products
3) Think like a UX Researcher by David Travis and colleagues Practical advice and examples
4) Design for How People Think by John Whalen, PhD Practical examples based on the brain
5) Jobs to Be Done by Tony Ulwick Succeed with Innovation
