How can we improve the solutions we develop for our customers and employees?
The graphic by Erick Mohr tells me we have very talented people who can develop and deliver great solutions, however, the issue becomes that they aren’t building solutions for what people need, their context, and the way they make decisions and behave.
We should put as much effort into exploring jobs, needs, and drivers of behavior, so we de-risk our hypothesis and increase the success of our solutions and the outcomes of those we serve.
Of course, changing a mental model is not easy, but can we afford not to do it?
