Do you as a product, service, change management, or innovation designer/strategist work with models like COM-B?

Do you as a product, service, change management, or innovation designer/strategist work with models like COM-B?

If not, what Model(s) do you use when designing for behavior change? and why?

What do you think is good and what is not so good with

COM-B?

I'm curious as I was recently discussing COM-B and have been preparing a presentation and workshop on it.

For those who don't know it, COM-B is behavior change model that is generally straightforward to use when identifying barriers, it is also evidence-based.

It is comprised of 3 components

1) Capability - knowledge, skills and abilities 2)Opportunity - external factors, enviroment 3)Motivation - internal processes that influence decision making

(Both Capability and Opportunity feed into Motivation)

COM-B was developed by Susan Michie, Robert West and Maartje M van Stralen at UCL. It encompasses 19 frameworks of behavior change(BCW) (I'll put a link to some resources if you want to read more, in case you are new to it)

Look forward to your comments :) #innovation #behavioralscience #servicedesign #productdesign #changemanagement #digitaltransformation
