This week
Books, Behind the Scenes and Courses Happy Friday to you all :) Here are my thoughts and insights for this week. This week I started to upload the books from my personal library onto my website, which I think are interesting to share and have helped me gain experience and insights in Design, Innovation, and Behavioral Science. I hope to finish it all by next month, as I have almost 200 books to upload.
The one I would like to recommend to you this week is
Start at the End by Matt Waellert : In his book, Matt asserts that the ultimate objective of everything is to bring about Behavioral Change. The most successful companies begin with identifying the desired outcomes instead of fixating on the processes involved. They delve into the reasons why people are not already engaged in the desired behavior and then create products and services to bridge the gap.
This framework, grounded in Behavioral Science, enables companies to develop effective solutions that meet the needs of their customers. I am working on a Miro Board for it, so you can run it as a workshop, which will be available only to email newsletter subscribers, so make sure you subscribe here Behind the Scenes Insights I wanted to also add a behind the scenes section to the newsletters, as I am constantly working on consulting projects or training teams on how Innovation, Design and Behavioral Science, so thought it would be nice to share some insights. This week during a session, I had teams create a solution poster to tie their behavior change techniques and then present them back to the team. (I ran this online, however the teams did the work on paper and then uploaded it).
This is the format I used, and it worked quite well. What I wanted to get from the teams was: -The Title and Description of their Concept -The Details and a short storyboard or flow of the story -The Behavior Change Techniques and Modes of Delivery -The Elevator Pitch I then had each one pitch their concept for 2 minutes, and we then voted on a concept using the APEASE criteria. Behavioral Science and Design Courses List This week I also put together a list of 10 courses for learning Behavioral Science.
You can take my course, Behavior Design Basics , but to complete your knowledge please have a look at the courses on the list as well from other places that may offer good ones. Most of the courses seem to be self paced and online. I will keep adding more courses as I find other ones I think can help you learn.
I have myself taken a few including the Self Determination Theory Course and the Social Norms one (I like learning).
Here is the link to all the courses on the list
