Behavior change is not just about individual in an organization....
Working from this assumption is like going round and round in circles, because there are many other things at play to get behaviors to change and to put people into action, if your change method is ignoring them, you will just be wasting time and resources.
Every company requires people to action things, whether you are leading, changing, evolving or innovationing. In order to do that you need to have a practical way to:
-be systematic and evidence based -action behavioral theories, models and frameworks -account for context -understand and define what behaviors matter to your project -know how to diagnose barriers -go beyond just the individual -understand the social norms -understand the environment -account for the physical or material -map the system to sense make (not always easy) and how the barriers interact and have influence on each other -test, evaluate measure and re-evaluate and sustain
this is the work I do, and if you do it as well you will be have a solid place to go from and succeed...
I have been busy for the 6+ months as you all know I like to build and share in public, so soon will unveil more on our new organizational intelligence platform, which runs the AFBSHIFT methodology a system grounded and trained on published behavioral and organizational science frameworks and our practitioner experience.
It brings together what we do which is to help orgs from end to end from doing a culture assessment that tells you what's blocking your culture goals, a behavioral diagnostic and strategic blueprint that tells you exactly why specific behaviors aren't happening and what to do about it. And a leadership assessment that shows you what your leaders are and aren't doing, and why.
All together or as individual pieces depending on where you are at in your journey....
I will be reaching out to a few of you to show you soon... and as always thank you for your support!!
