When you digitize a bad process, you have a bad digital process.

Marc Stickdorn always has some great insights when it comes to this kind of work.

Have you experienced a new technology that is just so bad, you go back to doing things the old way?

While working on projects, I have seen very expensive systems put in place, just to see no adoption.

People defaulting back to excel as a workaround to their new digital process.

Most times, we don’t account for the influences of behavior, mental models, and hence forget that on the other end are real people, who face barriers and who need to be enabled and not stopped by technology.

P.S - Marc, I have no idea where the picture is from.
