Stop using only cognitive biases, magic, and your gut to design solutions...
Maybe, instead, try and use a more systematic and evidence-based approach that helps you find the best solutions to the challenges your customers and employees have.
Here is one of the tools we frequently use to find possible behavior change solutions at Aim For Behavior
The Theory and Techniques tool in the image was developed by Susan Michie et al over at UCL.
This is a tool we use when we are identifying and classifying drivers of behavior using the theoretical domains framework.
The Theory and Techniques tool you can:
1) Identify the most relevant theoretical constructs for your solutions
2) Find evidence-based techniques linked to these solutions
3)Improve the likelihood that your solution will effectively enable the target behavior
So stop guessing and move to a more evidence-based way to solve the problem right.
If you don't use tools like these, what do you use?
If you would like a link to the tool, let me know in the comments.
