Is this what businesses think behavioral science/insights are all about?

I have seen this explained as applied behavioral science in a presentation before :(

I'm also sorry to say, but you can't just buy a nudging book and try and apply this stuff at work (believe me, that's how I started, and it doesn't work) - but, it is a good start to peak your curiosity and to get you on that road - at least it was for me.

I know we want to simplify what behavioral science can do, and yes nudges can work in certain contexts, are inexpensive to apply, and can improve people's lives. - I have no issue with Nudges :)

However, they are just a small aspect of the work that is done behind the scenes.

There is a need to understand how we make decisions, and for a business, this is such a competitive advantage.

Combining this with other frameworks, such as Jobs to Be Done, or Human Centred Design helps close the gap, and really get to the problems people have, and not from guesswork, but from science.

I put the responsibility on myself for not being better at explaining the value and will work harder to improve
