I have been thinking for a long time about ensuring we have the right building blocks to grow products and create great experiences.
These Building Blocks have components under them, which help us know what each one has to contain (not in the image, but will share it soon).
These are some ideas, and they may need more validation, which is why I would love your thoughts on these.
What do you like, what is missing, what can be improved?
1) Empathy: The capacity to understand or feel what another person is experiencing from within their frame of reference
2) Jobs to be done: A theory that suggests customers "hire" products or services to get a "job" done
3) Environment: The surrounding conditions in which a user operates, which can affect their behavior and interaction with products/services
4) Behavior: The actions and reactions of a user in conjunction with the environment and stimuli (if you can see it, it’s a behavior)
4) Instinct/Intuition: The inherent inclination towards a particular behavior apart from rational thought
6) Function: The practical use or purpose of something as intended by the design
7) Rational Thinking: The process of making decisions based on logical reasoning, as opposed to emotional responses
8) Motivation: The process that initiates, guides, and maintains goal-oriented behaviors
9) Decision Making: The cognitive process resulting in the selection of a belief or a course of action among several possible alternatives
10) Barriers: Factors that prevent or impede someone from achieving a desired goal
11) Capabilities: An individual or organization's ability to execute actions effectively
12) Competing ways of doing things: Alternatives available to users for accomplishing their tasks.
13) Norms: Informal understandings that govern the behaviors of members within a society
