Scenario Simulator: Visual tool for users to see outcomes based on different "If-Then" scenarios 2.

Here are some ideas for increasing intrinsic motivation for your customers or employees.

The image is looking at one of the 3 basic psychological needs: Autonomy

If I were to be working on designing say something around well-being, I would want to make sure that the features that exist will increase autonomy.

What do we mean by autonomy in the context of a digital product for example:

It means we want to ensure people can make their own meaningful choices - not the ones you want them to make, but the ones they want to make (you are there to enable those)

If you ignore this, then the motivation may be weaker and hence you will move people to a more extrinsically motivated area of the continuum.

Here are 4 interesting ideas you can use for autonomy: (just high-level ideas, you would need more context to know if they would work for you)

1.

Scenario Simulator

2.

Custom Goal Setter

Allow users to define, modify, and track their unique objectives.

3.

Snowball Effect Visualizer

Graphics showing how small actions lead to larger results.

4. Self-Analysis Toolkit: Interactive questionnaires or tools that help users evaluate themselves or different options.

We like working with Self Determination Theory as a means to design for basic psychological needs in our projects and will also be including parts of it in some upcoming courses at Aim For Behavior.
