Here are 5 books to help you manage change

My newest book (chapter) in The Future of Change Management book by Paul Gibbons, FRSA, and Patricia Kennedy just came out, so I thought it would be good to not only recommend this great book, but also a few others to help you manage change.

Here are the books:

1.

The Future of Change Management

It has some great authors and comes with 10 chapters written by each. Aside from my chapter on science-backed tools and frameworks, you also have a wonderful chapter on Mental Health by Newton Cheng, Culture Change by James Healy, and Neuroscience by Hilary Scarlett to name just a few.

2. The Behavior Change Wheel by Susan Michie and colleagues - This is a must-have book if you are working on change. The work of Susan and the team at UCL inspires and guides my work. (Thank you for sharing your work with us all) You will learn about models like the COM-B model here.

3. Neuroscience for Organizational Change by Hilary Scarlett - she has great chapters on how to perform our best during change, managing emotions, decision making and even the role that storytelling plays.

4.

Thinking in Systems by Donella Medows

Systems thinking is something everyone who works in change should be familiar with. Behavior and change do not happen in isolation, they are part of a system and it is important we sense make, and understand what we can and can't influence.

5. The Brain-Friendly Workplace by Friederike Fabritius - gives you some big ideas to implement based on neuroscience to help you manage change.

Hope you enjoy them!

Which would you add?

The Behavior Change Wheel by Susan Michie and colleagues - This is a must-have book if you are working on change.
