Behavioral Science should be an approach that is made for how you already work...
There is no value in it being a black box, or for it to come at the end of a project to add some sprinkles of magic (which won't work)
We need to make it work for us and not against us - which is what I see many times.
Each area of the diamond is meant to feed back from the design to the behavioral activities.
This is how I work and how I teach behavioral science - there is no way we will help others realize the value of behavior as a lens if we don't work together to ensure that we have a solid unified approach.
I'm a consultant, so normally I would say that I want the knowledge to stay with me, but my view is different - and it's probably not a popular one sometimes.
What I hope to achieve by showing my work publicly and openly with tools and frameworks is to give access and to help others see where they can benefit from a new lens - but also to have those people gain the competence to bring it into their work, just as they did with the Double Diamond and those tools, and ways of working - that once were novelty and today so many use in their daily work.
I am a designer and an innovation person who just happens to also see the value of behavioral science as a lens, and I hope you will too.
